The UC Davis Institute of the Environment conducts rigorous, applied and interdisciplinary environmental and climate research that transforms science and informs policy and action. Drawing on knowledge and expertise from across the university and beyond, IE researchers explore transdisciplinary topics, develop new knowledge and methods and apply these insights to solve our most pressing environmental and climate challenges. Our work informs agencies, decision-makers, academics, students and the public of the cutting-edge issues and problems we face and how to solve them.
