Process & Participation
To develop this strategic plan, we employed a multi-prong strategy of engagement and analysis. Our process included analyzing similar kinds of research units across the university and beyond along with multiple stakeholder interviews and focus groups. Doing so enabled us to clarify and refine the opportunity space, where innovation and growth can occur. Multiple interviews were conducted with internal and external stakeholders to identify strategic imperatives, priorities, and pathways. The Institute is made up of dedicated, hardworking people that care deeply about our work – a team that nurtures this space.
Plan Highlights
Together, we developed a set of 9 integrated strategies that the Institute will pursue during this period, grouped into three themes to create pathways to progress:
- Enhance Interdisciplinary Research, Education and Policy Impact
- Strengthen Institutional Capacity, Collaboration and Stewardship
- Strategize Advancement, Communication and Accountability
