Scientists for Public Engagement and Knowledge (SPEAK)

What Is Scientists for Public Engagement and Knowledge?

As the Center for Watershed Sciences‘ (CWS) official outreach program, Scientists for Public Engagement and Knowledge (SPEAK) trains scientists how to communicate their research in a way that’s accessible, engaging, and influential. SPEAK helps scientists make their research accessible, engaging, and influential. With a professional communications staff, training opportunities, and multiple media platforms, SPEAK delivers science to everyone.

CWS is uniquely suited to function as a science outreach ambassador because of its well-established campus and media relationships. CWS affiliates span multiple departments and graduate groups, while media partners provide additional training and networking opportunities.
